WE IMPROVE WHAT MATTERS.

HÄRTHA GROUP: Perfected heat treatment for precision components

Whether in outer space or upon the stormy sea, under high pressure or at high speed: The components of our customers must stand up to the most extreme situations. HÄRTHA is right at home wherever optimal properties are essential and every micrometre and microgram counts.

As one of the leading service providers for heat treatment and coating processes, we ensure that components used in critical situations and application areas work flawlessly and with perfect reliability. We implement the technologies of the future by joining forces with our customers.

PROCESSES

Plasma nitriding

Plasma nitriding is a thermochemical heat treatment process. The wear and corrosion resistance of the components is increased.

Gas nitriding

Gas nitriding, or long-term gas nitriding, is a thermochemical heat treatment process. It is particularly suitable for hardening materials that tend to warp or are exposed to high loads.

Inductive hardening

Induction hardening is a particularly fast process for hardening steel. The advantage is rapid and localised heating, which allows targeted hardening of specific areas in the component.

Case hardening

Case hardening is one of the thermochemical processes in metal processing. The aim is to harden the edge layer of the component and retain a soft and tough core.

Low pressure carburising (LPC)

Low pressure carburising (LPC) is a thermochemical process for case hardening steel. The aim is to achieve higher wear resistance and a longer service life.

vacuum hardening

Vacuum hardening is a process for the heat treatment of steels. It is used for distortion-sensitive components such as precision tools and moulded parts.

Quenching and tempering

Quenching and tempering is a combined heat treatment to improve the properties of metals. Quenching and tempering is particularly suitable for steel (quenched and tempered steel), but also for non-ferrous metals.

Bainitising

Bainitisation is a process for the heat treatment of steels and cast irons. In addition to increased strength and hardness, it also produces very good toughness properties. The susceptibility of brittle fracture is low.

PVD coating

PVD is a form of surface finishing. It serves to protect the surface of the workpiece. Components become significantly harder and the service life is significantly increased. We are your partner for PVD and PaCVD coatings.
