Afhankelijk van het materiaal en de toepassing kan het tussengloeien ook helpen om de corrosieweerstand of weerstand tegen hoge temperaturen te verhogen.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Tussengloeien kan <strong>direct tijdens het productieproces<\/strong> van een werkstuk worden toegepast, bijvoorbeeld na <a href=\"https:\/\/haertha.de\/verfahren\/einsatzhaerten\/\" target=\"_self\"><strong>het harden<\/strong><\/a>. Hiertoe wordt het werkstuk na het carboneren of de korrelverfijning gedurende lange tijd tot onder het onderste transformatiepunt verwarmd en vervolgens langzaam afgekoeld.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Het proces wordt ook gebruikt om de <strong>levensduur van reeds gebruikte onderdelen te verlengen<\/strong> , bijvoorbeeld voor structurele stalen onderdelen in spuitgietmatrijzen. Door de gebruiksafhankelijke temperatuurwisselingen zijn er spanningen in het onderdeel opgebouwd, die nu worden verminderd.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">In  <strong>het geval van veredelde stalen onderdelen<\/strong> komt het tussengloeien in principe overeen met een ontlaatbehandeling. Er wordt echter een temperatuur gekozen die ongeveer 30 \u00b0C tot 50 \u00b0C lager is dan de ontlaattemperatuur tijdens de productie. De houdtijd duurt twee tot vier uur. Gloeien bij herkristallisatietemperaturen tussen 550 \u00b0C en 700 \u00b0C vermindert spanningen in het staal en herstelt de kristalstructuur. Een \u03b1-ferriet-austeniet-transformatie of een faseverandering vindt niet plaats.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Bij rekristalliserend gloeien moet een <b>fijne korrelstructuur<\/b> worden bereikt. Hiervoor moeten mogelijke langgerekte kristallen in de structuur aanwezig zijn. Dit is pas het geval vanaf een vervormingsgraad van ongeveer 20 %. Alleen als de kritieke vervormingsgraad van 5 % tot 15 % wordt bereikt, wordt <a href=\"https:\/\/haertha.de\/verfahren\/normalgluehen\/\" target=\"_self\">normaalgloeien aanbevolen<\/a> omdat het lage aantal kernen grove korrels zou produceren tijdens rekristalliserend gloeien.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">De <strong>herkristallisatietemperatuur<\/strong> en duur zijn afhankelijk van de vervormingsgraad en smelttemperatuur van het materiaal.
