Door verhitting tot austenitiseringstemperatuur en snelle afkoeling (afschrikken) wordt martensiet gevormd. De samenstelling van het metaal bepaalt de specifieke austenitiseringstemperatuur en afkoelsnelheid.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><span class=\"block\" style=\"color: #ffffff;background-color: #6ab651;padding: 3rem\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Info:  Austenitiseringstemperatuur<\/strong>\n<br>\nDe austenitiseringstemperatuur is de temperatuur waarbij staal en gietijzer onder toevoeging van warmte austeniet vormen. Wanneer een hardingsproces martensiet moet vormen, komt de austenitiseringstemperatuur overeen met de hardingstemperatuur.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><br>\n<strong>Na het afschrikproces volgt het ontlaten<\/strong> (bij hoge ontlaattemperaturen ook veredelen genoemd) om spanningen in het staal te verminderen. Vrijwel alle hardbare staalsoorten<\/strong>, veredelstaalsoorten en nitreerstaalsoorten kunnen worden behandeld.<\/p>\n<p>De samenstelling van het staal is doorslaggevend. Dankzij het afschrikken in het oliebad kunnen ze echter worden behandeld met harden onder beschermgas. Door het bruuske afschrikproces is echter enige vervorming te verwachten.
