Hierdoor ontstaat een verbindingslaag van ijzer, stikstof, koolstof en nitriden die bekend staat om zijn hoge slijtvastheid en lage wrijvingsco\u00ebffici\u00ebnt.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Het proces bestaat uit vier stappen:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Nitrocarboneren<\/li>\n<li>Oxiderende afkoeling<\/li>\n<li>Mechanisch gladmaken<\/li>\n<li>Na-oxidatie<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Deze gerichte behandeling maximaliseert de corrosiebescherming en verbetert de mechanische stabiliteit van de componenten. Naast de exacte materiaalaanduiding moeten ook de temperatuur van de voorafgaande warmtebehandeling, de gewenste hardheid en de gewenste nitreerhardingsdiepte worden vastgelegd. Een gedeeltelijke behandeling vereist geschikte tekeningen.
