Negli acciai non legati e bassolegati l\u2019austenite residua si forma solamente a partire da un contenuto di carbonio di almeno lo 0,5 %.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Il trattamento criogenico avviene <strong>solitamente subito dopo la tempra<\/strong>. Per ridurre l\u2019alto rischio di cricche, il trattamento criogenico viene usato sempre pi\u00f9 spesso dopo il primo rinvenimento. La riuscita del processo \u00e8 garantita dall'escrezione di \u03b7-carburi con distribuzione dispersa. Ci\u00f2 avviene mediante raffreddamento ad una temperatura da -90 \u00b0C a -196 \u00b0C. A queste temperature l\u2019austenite residua presente nel materiale si trasforma in martensite.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Se l'austenite residua non si riduce, il componente potrebbe subire <strong>trasformazioni della struttura e del volume durante l'uso.<\/strong> Il motivo \u00e8 che l\u2019austenite residua morbida si trasforma nel corso di settimane in martensite, pi\u00f9 dura. Il trattamento criogenico dell'acciaio permette di evitare questo cambiamento strisciante della stabilit\u00e0 dimensionale. Ci\u00f2 \u00e8 importante soprattutto per componenti di precisione e utensili estremamente precisi.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff; background-color: #6ab651; padding: 3rem; display: block;\">INFORMAZIONI: metodi criogenici<br \/>\nGrazie a metodi diversi, nel trattamento criogenico sono possibili temperature sempre pi\u00f9 basse. L'aria viene raffreddata fino a -60 \u00b0C in congelatori a pozzetto e ad armadio. Mediante miscele di alcol, ghiaccio secco e gas liquido vengono raggiunte temperature ben inferiori a -60 \u00b0C. Il trattamento criogenico con azoto liquido raggiunge i -196 \u00b0C, mentre l\u2019elio liquido consente trattamenti criogenici fino a -269 \u00b0C.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #6ab651;\">Cosa succede nel trattamento criogenico?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Nel trattamento criogenico il <strong>processo di raffreddamento successivo alla tempra viene<\/strong>prolungato in modo da aumentare il tasso di trasformazione da austenite in martensite. Per ottenere questo risultato, il componente \u00e8 solitamente raffreddato a -90 \u00b0C. Per conseguire un tasso di trasformazione ancora pi\u00f9 alto \u00e8 possibile anche il raffreddamento fino a \u2013196 \u00b0C per un periodo pi\u00f9 lungo. Segue poi <strong>almeno un processo di rinvenimento<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mediante questo procedimento la microstruttura, che prima era eterogenea, viene trasformata in una struttura reticolare omogenea. In questo modo <strong>si riducono le tensioni interne alla struttura<\/strong>.
